Broccoli Puree for Baby with Potato & Pumpkin (6+ Months)
Looking for an easy broccoli puree for baby? This simple homemade baby food recipe combines broccoli with potato and pumpkin for a smooth vegetable puree made with just a few everyday ingredients.
I prepared this combination for my own baby when we were starting solids. I blended it to a consistency that worked for my baby at the time, but you can adjust the texture to suit your baby’s feeding skills and stage of development.
A quick note: Babies develop at their own pace. The 6+ months label reflects when I introduced this recipe to my baby rather than a strict age rule. When starting solids, follow your baby’s signs of readiness and adjust the texture appropriately.

How to Make Broccoli Puree for Baby
Ingredients: 2 broccoli florets, 1 small potato, 1 piece of pumpkin and a little cooking water, as needed.
Cut the broccoli into florets. Two florets are enough for this recipe, and you can freeze the remaining broccoli for another meal. Peel the potato and cut it into cubes, then cut the pumpkin into cubes as well. Cook the potato and pumpkin until they are almost tender. Add the broccoli during the last 5–7 minutes of cooking and continue cooking until the vegetables are soft. Blend to your baby’s preferred consistency, adding a little cooking water if needed.
Adjusting the Texture
You can adjust the consistency of the puree by adding a little water from steaming, breast milk or prepared infant formula. Add a small amount at a time until you reach a texture that works well for your baby.
